SUMMIT is a feature length documentary that examines the most basic aspects of human nature placed at the mercy of Mother Nature. In August 2008, 18 mountain climbers reached the top of K2. 48 hours later, 11 people were dead. K2 had been conquered before, so this was not a first of any kind. Had it been successful, the world would have noticed. THE SUMMIT focuses on the characters within this story, including Irish climber Ger McDonnell, and the very nature of adventure in the modern world.
