In 2013, the European Commission and the European Parliament will vote on the crucial final wording of the new reform of the European fishery policy which will influence and impact not only on the lives of millions of European coastal citizens but also on our natural resources and the future of our children.
Over the past six years, one man, John O'Brien, a simple fisherman from the small island of Inis Bo Finne in Ireland, has initiated, with the help of a small group of islanders, world experts and NGOs, a European world-wide campaign to try stop the 'mechanism' that is slowly killing their small communities.
