Course Profile

The Allyship in the Film & TV Industry course taking place online on Tuesday, 4th and Wednesday, 5th March 2025, from 10am-noon each day is designed to train industry professionals to become effective allies. Participants will explore concepts such as recognising privilege, active listening, and taking tangible actions to support underrepresented colleagues, fostering a culture of inclusivity and solidarity within the industry.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Actively champion inclusivity within the industry, recognising and addressing personal and systemic privileges.
  • Develop active listening skills to amplify the voices and experiences of underrepresented colleagues.
  • Implement tangible actions to actively support underrepresented colleagues and foster a more inclusive workplace culture.
  • Navigate challenging conversations about privilege and allyship, contributing to open and constructive dialogue.
  • Sustain Long-Term Commitment: Develop strategies for sustaining long-term allyship efforts, fostering continuous education and advocacy within the industry.

Participant Profile

This course is aimed at funders, and individuals who work across schemes, projects, and individuals or organisations interested in supporting diverse projects in the screen sector.
