Course Profile

The Bystander Awareness for Screen Industry Professionals course is designed to empower industry practitioners with the skills to identify and intervene in situations of discrimination and bias within the workplace. Participants will learn the importance of being active bystanders, fostering a culture of accountability, and creating safe and inclusive production environments.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Develop skills to recognise and actively address inappropriate behavior in the workplace.
  • Implement effective practices for intervening in situations of bias and discrimination, fostering positive workplace dynamics.
  • Understand the crucial role of bystanders in contributing to a safe, inclusive environment by promoting open communication and mutual respect.
  • Learn how to hold individuals accountable for inappropriate behavior and actively participate in fostering a collective culture of accountability within the industry.

Participant Profile

This course is aimed at screen industry professionals working in live action/unscripted film & TV, animation, VFX or games interested in active bystander training in a production environment.
