Course Profile

Screen Ireland is delighted to offer you the opportunity to take part in a workshop in Developing an EDI Policy taking place on Thursday, 1st May 2025 from 10am to noon. The session 90 minutes in duration.

The course will help you set clear expectations, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance by establishing an effective EDI policy which aligns with the objectives of your organisation. Participants will gain an understanding of the key components to consider and include in EDI policy development and be able to practice drafting policies which are relevant and sustainable, based on personally established goals and key performance indicators that align with your organisation.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the case for EDI policy development from a business perspective.
  • Identify the key components of an effective EDI policy and factors which influence their development.
  • Practice drafting policies which mitigate systemic barriers and promote inclusion in the workplace.
  • Draft and review a strategic EDI policy for their company including goals and KPIs.
  • Determine governance structure including steps for ongoing oversight and review of policies.

Participant Profile

This workshop is aimed towards anyone working in the arts sector who wishes to put in place a clear policy on equality, diversity and inclusion to ensure employees know the benefits and responsibilities of working together within an organisation.
