Course Profile

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is delighted to offer you the opportunity to take part in a workshop on Developing an EDI Policy.

The course will help you set clear expectations, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance by establishing an effective EDI policy which aligns with the objectives of your organization. Participants will gain an understanding of the key components to consider and include in EDI policy development and be able to practice drafting policies which are relevant and sustainable, based on personally established goals and key performance indicators that align with your organization.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the essential components of a comprehensive EDI policy relevant to the Irish screen sector
  • Audit their organisation's current approach and identify gaps using a structured framework
  • Draft an EDI policy that reflects their organisation's values, culture, and creative practice
  • Use inclusive and accessible language when articulating commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Recognise common barriers to EDI policy implementation and apply practical strategies to navigate them
  • Engage stakeholders meaningfully in the development and ongoing review of EDI policies

Participant Profile

This workshop is aimed towards anyone working in the arts sector who wishes to put in place a clear policy on equality, diversity and inclusion to ensure employees know the benefits and responsibilities of working together within an organisation or on a production.
