Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet in partnership with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and the National Talent Academy for VFX is offering Production Design for Virtual Production training to:
The Art Department plays a crucial role in shaping the visual narrative of a film or television show. This short programme gives Production Designers, Art Directors, Set Designers and Senior Set Decorators an opportunity to interact with a world class LED volume and Volume Controllers to upskill in the area of Virtual Production.
Dates are as follows:
Remote classes run from 7pm – 8.30pm | Monday, 8th December | Introduction to Virtual Production (remote class includes Unreal Engine Cohort) & Monday, 15th December.
In-person classes run 9.00am – 5pm | Wednesday, 25th, Thursday, 26th, Friday, 27th February | 3 x Day in person at Studio Ulster/CoStar Lab interacting with Unreal Engine Cohort (Unreal Engine Worldbuilders).

Production Designers, Art Directors, Set Designers, Senior Set Decorators who are currently working in live action, broadcast or theatre and wish to upskill in the area of Virtual Production and who have at least 1 year’s experience in their current role.
All applicants must be resident in the Republic of Ireland, employed or self employed/freelance.
€350 Per Person
Training & Accommodation: B&B Ramada Hotel and welcome evening meal on Tuesday, 24th February.
Transport: An application to the NTA VFX for reimbursement for all public transport costs to/from Belfast can be made post training. Car travel & parking will not be reimbursed as part of our sustainability drive. Transport to/from hotel, to/from Studio Ulster will be provided.
