Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland as part of S481 Skills Development Screen Talks is delighted to present an Industry Masterclass with Suzanne McAuley from Salt Films taking place at the Irish Film Institute on Monday, 13th May 2024 from 13:00 to 15:00

Suzanne McAuley has worked in the film and TV industry for 30 years and has executive produced/series produced over 140 hours of HETV drama including Moonflower Murders (PBS/BBC), The Doll Factory (Paramount+), Magpie Murders (PBS/BBC), Maigret (ITV) and all five seasons of the multi award-winning Love/Hate. Prior to producing, she worked as a Financial Controller – packaging the Section 481 tax incentive and overseeing the finance on many large scale international TV dramas and features. Suzanne is a member of the Producers Guild of America and has been a Juror for the International Emmys. She has won three IFTA’s and a Cinema Tous Ecrain award for Best TV Drama, and been nominated for eight IFTA’s, a Golden Nymph and a Prix Europa award. Suzanne was a board member of Screen Producer’s Ireland from 2009–2013.

Suzanne McAuley will be in conversation with Irish producer Claire McCabe from Pipedream Productions. Claire won Best Emerging Producer at the 2023 EDAs and was selected for Screen International Stars of Tomorrow UK and Ireland 2023. Most recently, she co-produced the IFTA nominated and BAFTA long listed feature documentary, The Ghost of Richard Harris, which had its World Premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival. She produced Holy Island, an experimental feature with the Arts Council which had an Irish theatrical release in 2022. She has produced several award-winning short films, including Safe as Houses and An Encounter for Screen Ireland and the IFTA nominated, Don’t Go Where I Can’t Find You for Creative Europe and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, which has its North American premiere at SXSW. Claire is an alumnus of the Rotterdam Film Lab, IDFAcademy & Doc Ireland’s IGNITE programme.
