Screen Ireland is delighted to partner with the Erich Pommer Institut to offer a Scholarship to an Irish producer to attend Series’ Women, the first career enhancement programme for female producers in the European drama series industry.
Launched in 2021, the initiative has already made a meaningful impact. This unique programme offers a dynamic blend of hands-on training, curated mentoring, and direct industry access.
The Series’ Women producers participate in state-of-the-art training with expert-led sessions on visibility, leadership and digital entrepreneurship as well as receiving curated 1-1 mentoring and pitching coaching. Networking opportunities at two of the most crucial industry markets for drama series as a full delegate, allowing access to decision makers and top industry figures, completes the programme. The programme is led by experienced business coaches and industry experts.
By supporting outstanding female producers and amplifying female-driven projects, Series’ Women is actively working to improve representation, build strong professional networks, and bring more diverse voices to the forefront of the European screen industry. A unique part of the programme is an online diversity training exclusively directed at hiring managers or respective decision makers in the producers’ companies. Through this training, Series’ Women addresses gender equality and diversity at the organizational level and aims to make companies more competitive and sustainable.
Series' Women provided me with one of the most unique experiences in my career. I was immersed into the course with a group of truly inspiring and impressive female producers where we created a strong bond and network that will always be there. I learned so much from these producers, the industry speakers and most of all the mentor I had which, for me, has tangibly changed the course of my career.
