Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, in partnership with Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet and the National Talent Academy for VFX, is offering hands on Virtual Production training facilitated by Final Pixel Academy, the training arm of the award-winning global creative studio Final Pixel.
Learn the latest virtual production techniques and skills from industry experts working on virtual production projects for major broadcasters and international brands.
Ensure your production skills are ready for the adoption of virtual production techniques by production companies, broadcasters and studios. Training courses are geared for technicians, producers, directors and artists.
The training will include 4 x online Masterclasses from industry guests delivered online prior to the in-person training days where virtual production training across specialist HOD roles will be delivered. Get hands-on practice with bleeding edge technologies and a greater understanding of creative application and industry use cases.
Training is provided by experts currently working in virtual production and trainees will also come away with professional skills development knowledge, best practices, and resources aimed at helping with career paths and developing further opportunities post training.
The training is open to a mixed cohort of specialists; Producers/PMs/LPs/VFX/Designers/Art Directors/Set Directors, Directors/1st ADs/Writers/Script Supervisors, Camera/Lighting/Gaffer/DIT/DOP, across the following dates and locations.

The Millennium Theatre, situated on the TUS Limerick campus, opened its doors in March 2003 and is a leading venue hosting a diverse range of events.
West Cork Film Studios, Baltimore Rd, Skibbereen, is a full-service facility boasting 2 x sound stages close to some of the most stunning locations in the world.
IADT Ireland’s National Film School, provides state-of-the-art facilities for education and training in film, television and radio production & design for stage and screen.

4 x 2 hr industry Masterclasses will be available and focussed for the following cohorts.
There is no obligation to participate in ‘on site’ training to access the free online masterclasses, however you must be resident in the Republic of Ireland to join. Register here
Note that all successful applicants for on site training must attend at least one remote masterclass which will run in August 2024 and which will also be available to access post live delivery date.
These on site workshops are suitable for SMEs, Sole Traders, Freelancers or employees.
