In this contemporary comedy, 18 year-old Maja dreams of becoming an actress, so that she can be the centre of attention and people will see past her overweight exterior. Erika, an aspiring documentary filmmaker, sees an opportunity to create tragicomic entertainment at Maja's expense. Maja agrees to be in Erika's film but, as filming progresses, Maja realises she is being used. It then dawns on her that Erika needs her subject as much as Maja needs Erika's camera - maybe even more - and Maja will eventually take centre-stage, on her own terms.
