Supporting Innovative, High Concept Creative Development within the Animation, Digital Games, Immersive and Wider Screen Sector.
As the national agency for the Irish film, television, animation, documentary, VFX and digital games industries, Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is the creative partner to the sector, investing in talent, creativity, innovation and enterprise.
We are inspired by original storytelling that will emotionally move audiences at home and abroad. Through a wide range of practical funding supports across development, production, distribution, promotion and skills development, Screen Ireland supports the sector at every stage. We support filmmakers in their creative pursuit to share valuable artistic, cultural and commercial stories on screen.
Following a successful four rounds of funding, Fís Éireann / Screen Ireland is looking for a Lead Organisation or Partnership, to facilitate the fifth iteration of the evolving Innovation in Storytelling Fund.
The Lead Organisation or Partnership will be responsible for the design, implementation. reporting and review of an open, fair, transparent and competitive funding process, including establishment of an appropriate review panel and selection of successful projects (in consultation with Screen Ireland and other partners as required.) They must also ensure compliance with the guiding principles of Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and other key partners.
The total fund is €430,000, with the possibility of funding for future rounds subject to satisfactory review and approval by the Screen Ireland board. The €430,000 includes up to €30,000 to cover administrative expenses incurred by the Lead Organisation or Partnership in delivery of the scheme. Please include a summary breakdown of the administrative expenses in your application.
Awards are expected to be made in the coming months.
Criteria for Assessment
- The Track Record of the Lead Organisation or Partnership in supporting and informing the longer-term needs of the Irish creative screen industry especially in ‘Innovation in Storytelling’. (30)
- Experience in the awarding of national funding and co-ordinating administration of same. (30)
- Track record in facilitating diverse and inclusive pathways of support and creative talent development. (20)
- Appropriate governance, financial and narrative reporting structures, systems and processes. (20)
