An Creatur selected for Portable Film Festival in Australia

An Creátúr, the Irish language short written and directed by Peter Foott has been officially selected for the upcoming Portable Film Festival in Australia.  The online festival profiles one new great release each day, every day of the year, plus hunts, tags and collects random great web-based films.

The short film which stars Robbie Sheehan (Cherrybomb) spans the first 15 years of Conor Buckley's life.  A childhood prank leaves Conor paralysed by guilt; forcing him to correct his own mistake the only way he knows how.

Produced by Cormac Fox and Daniel McCrea the film picked up the Jury Prize at the International Youth Festival of Rimouski in Canada earlier this year and won the Best Irish Short Film award at the Corona Cork Film Festival when it premiered there in 2007.

An Creátúr is screening at the Galway Film Fleadh this year on Friday, July 10th as part of the Irish Shorts Programme 1 at 10am.
