Festival Judges Looking for Young Filmmaking Talent

Budding young filmmakers aged 25 and under, are in with the chance to have their short film showcased on the silver screen at this year's Coca-Cola Cinemagic International Film Festival for Young People in Belfast, in November. Young filmmakers from the UK and Ireland are invited to submit their films to the annual Cinemagic Young Filmmaker Competition which honours the best of young filmmaking talent across different genres.

The judges are looking for imaginative and original short films made by young people to be screened as part of the award winning film festival which takes place from 18th November- 4th December. The Cinemagic Festival, now in its 19th year, is dedicated to supporting and celebrating young filmmaking talent by bringing together young people with an interest in the film industry.

Chris Shaw, Cinemagic Festival Programmer, encourages young filmmakers to get involved:

"The annual Cinemagic Young Filmmaker Competition offers young people the opportunity to submit their short film to the festival and have it viewed by a panel of industry professionals. Those shortlisted will get the opportunity to participate in the festival masterclasses and have their skills recognised at a special awards ceremony. Whether you are a first-time filmmaker or developing your skills in filmmaking, the competition offers a great platform to showcase your work and enjoy the work of other young people."
