IFB funded short film Of Best Intentions wins Best International Short at the Raindance Film Festival
The IFB funded short film Of Best Intentions has won the Best International Short award at the Raindance Film Festival in London. The film which was directed by Brian Durnin and produced by Paul Holmes, examines the lives of five well-meaning individuals as fate decides to intervene causing their good intentions to incur disastrous consequences.
The film is no stranger to awards having been a huge success on both the national and international festival circuit. It has previously picked up a host of awards including Best International Short at the Rome Film Festival, Best Film at the Kerry Film Festival (selected by Liam Neeson), Best Music at Fastnet Film Festival, as well as selection for screening at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in April and a nomination for Best Short Film Award at this year's IFTA's.
Of Best Intentions is also due for several screenings in the coming months including at La Boca de Lobo Madrid, Interfilm Berlin, Brest Festival and the Brussels International Film Festival, amongst others.
The film was produced by Red Rage Films and received funding from the Irish Film Board through the Short Cuts scheme in 2008.
