Stranger than Fiction Documentary Festival

The award winning documentary The Revolution will not be Televised will be screening at this year's Stranger than Fiction documentary festival which is running from the 2nd - 5th October.

Winner of the Global Television Grand Prize BANFF Festival, The Revolution will not be Televised was directed by Kim Bartley and Donnacha O'Briain and documents the months in the run-up to the 2002 Venezuelan Coup on Hugo Chavez's government and his dramatic return to power 48 hours later.

The Revolution will not be Televised is a Power Pictures production and has received funding from The Irish Film Board, ZDF/ARTE, NPS, BBC and RTE.

Also screening at the festival is Abbas Kiarostami: The Art of Living which celebrates the work of Abbas Kiarostami - the Iranian poet, painter, photographer, installation artist and filmmaker. This documentary was directed by Pat Collins and Fergus Daly and received funding from Bord Scannan na hEireann.
