Eleven Irish Shorts Selected for Heart of Gold Festival in Australia

An amazing eleven Irish short films have been officially selected to screen at the Heart of Gold International Film Festival in Australia in March.

The eleven films are an eclectic mix of drama, comedy, documentary and animation shorts and include Conor Ferguson's award winning ATLANTIC short which stars Liam Cunningham, Ken Wardrop's documentary FAREWELL PACKETS OF TEN, Declan Cassidy's light hearted WHATEVER TURNS YOU ON, Jimmy Murakami's animation SANDPIPER and Cecilia McAllister's Irish language short FÉILECHÁN.

Also screening at the Australian festival will be Barry Dignam's ENOUGH, the Best European Short Film (Eurpoean Independent Film Festival) THE MAN INSIDE directed by Rory Bresnihan and Eoin Ryan's UNCLE BILLS BARRELL along with THE GERMAN written and directed by Nick Ryan, HOOR directed by Ruairi O'Brien and John Kennedy and Ciarán Deeney's GOD AND NAPOLEON.

The Heart of Gold International Film Festival has an extensive short film programme and encourages films that are entertaining, uplifting, thought-provoking and express a positive view of the world and humanity.

The Irish shorts films Granny O'Grimms Sleeping Beauty and New Boy both picked up awards at last years festival.

The Heart of Gold International Film Festival will take place in Queensland, Australia March 11th - 14th.
