Irish Films and Events at the Dingle Film Festival
The Irish Film Board is proud to support the fourth Dingle Film Festival which this year is taking place from the 18th - 21st March.
The festival promises to showcase a great mix of Irish feature films and shorts as well as industry events and workshops. It will be screening digital films through a 4K projector which is a first for Ireland and will be holding Ireland's first RED users gathering during the festival.
Perrier's Bounty, Ian Fitzgibbon's new comedy-thriller will kick off the festival on March 18th with Cillian Murphy who stars in the film will be in attendance.
Other Irish films screening include the Oscar nominated The Secret of Kells, the award winning Eamon, One Hundred Mornings, Swansong and I Went Down as well as an Irish family short film programme.
Industry events billed for the festival include a special panel event entitled 'The Future of Irish Film' where participants from the film industry, relevant Government departments and agencies will discuss the future of Irish film and the audiovisual industry. This event will be chaired by Brendan Tuohy with a panel including Kevin Moriarity (Ardmore Studios), Paddy Breathnach (Treasure Films) and Marc Flanagan (writer).
The festival Workshop Programme includes a 4K/RED/DCI seminar and a talk on DPC File Creation and there will be interviews with the world renowned sound artist Tom Johnson and director Geoff Wonfor.
