New Agreement between Screen Producers Ireland and Producers Guild of America aims to Strengthen Relations

Screen Producers Ireland (SPI) and the Producers Guild of America (PGA) have signed an agreement in Los Angeles.

The agreement, which was signed on Wednesday 3rd March aims to foster better relationships between the two organisations and to encourage a greater number of co-production opportunities across all genres in film, television and animation.

The agreement will encourage:
  • Mutual cooperation between members and the guilds including the development of relationships between members in each guild.
  • To arrange official delegations visiting each country's guilds to conduct meetings, seminars and other opportunities for development.
  • The guilds will provide assistance to members who are travelling to each others territory.
  • A mentoring programme that will allow members intern with members of each organisation.
  • To work to establish screenings of productions in order to better acquaint the US film/TV community with Irish productions and visa versa
