Irish Co-production TRIAGE to Open 10th Belfast Film Festival next month

The Irish co-production TRIAGE starring Colin Farrell will open the 10th Belfast Film Festival on April 15th.

Danis Tanovic's film stars Colin Farrell as a war photographer, who returns home to Ireland battle-weary from a dangerous assignment in Kurdistan.  When his best friend and colleague David (Jamie Sives) fails to return, it becomes clear that Mark holds the key to the truth of David's disappearance.  Mark's girlfriend Elena must find the clues to the mystery that's slowly killing her boyfriend.

The feature also stars Sir Christopher Lee, Paz Vega, Branko Djuric and Kelly Reilly.  It has previously been selected for screening at the renowned Toronto International Film Festival as well as opening the Seville European Film Festival last November.  This will be its Irish/UK premiere screening.

TRIAGE was produced by Alan Maloney for Parallel Films with HanWay Films handling the international sales.  The film was co-financed by the IFB, Aramid Entertainment, Sofica Coficup Films, Backup Films, Eurimages, Canal +, RAI Cinema and Ciudad de la Luz.

The 10th Belfast Film Festival boasts over 30 Irish and UK premieres in a jam packed programme, with 125 screenings and events across Belfast from over 25 countries.

The festival runs from April 15th - 30th at the Moviehouse, Dublin Road.  For more information please see http://www.belfastfilmfestival.org/.
