Irish Documentary Broken Tail’s Last Journey to Air on RTÉ 1
The Irish documentary Broken Tail's Last Journey, directed by Colin Stafford-Johnson, will be screened on RTÉ One on Monday, April 5th.This extraordinary film follows one of the world's leading wildlife cameramen as he travels through India on a personal pilgrimage, piecing together the last journey of Broken Tail - the tiger he helped transform into one of the worlds most famous before it fled and went on the run. Colin Stafford-Johnson retraces Broken Tail's 200km journey across Rajasthan, examining his route and his behaviour, solving the mystery of why he abandoned his habitat to travel so far and survive for so long in hostile country.
Broken Tail's Last Journey was produced by John Murray for Crossing the Line Films and was co-financed by the IFB, RTÉ, CBC, Arte/ZDF and CTL Films.
It was shown at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival recently and is also scheduled to screen at the IFI Stranger Than Fiction Documentary Film Festival later this month.
Broken Tail's Last Journey can be seen on RTÉ One this Easter Monday, April 5th at 7pm.
