Irish Co-Production FOXES Opens in Light House Cinema Today
The feature film Foxes opens today in the Light House Cinema for a limited run.
An Irish/Czech/Slovakian co-production, this is the debut feature from award-winning short filmmaker Mira Fornayová, who wrote and directed the film. This riveting drama tells the story of Dubliner Steve and his Slovak girlfriend Tina who are building their life in Ireland. When Tina's sister Alzbeta arrives, she brings with her a secret that will shatter the sisters' dreams of a cosy future.
Foxes is a story about envy, jealousy, and dependency between two sisters, but mainly about their love for one another. It is a simple story about betrayal, redemption and forgiveness. Starring Réka Derzi, Rita Banczi and Irish talent Aaron Monaghan, the film previously screened at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival in February.
Shot on location in Wicklow and Dublin, Foxes was produced by David Collins and Brian Willis for Samson Films (Snap, Eden, Once), Viktor Schwarcz and Juraj Buzalka and was co-financed by the IFB, Czech Film Fund, Slovak Film Fund, Eurimages and Ceska Televize.
Foxes can be seen in the Light House Cinema from Friday 9th April.
