Nothing Personal Picked Up For Theatrical Distribution in the US

Nothing Personal, directed by Urszula Antoniak has been picked up for distribution in North America by Olive Films and is due to be released later this year.

The Irish-Dutch co-production starring Stephen Rea, tells the tale of Anne (played by Dutch actress Lotte Verbeek), a young woman hitching her way to the west coast of Ireland and an older educated, solitary man (Rea) who close a deal: food in exchange of work. But there is one condition: no personal contact, no questions. Who will be the first one to break the deal?

Nothing Personal scooped an impressive six awards at its world premiere at the prestigious Locarno International Film Festival last year, including the Leopard Award for Best First Feature, the Leopard Award for Best Actress (Verbeek), the First Prize Youth Jury Award, Ecumenical Jury Prize Special Mention, CICAE Prize and the FIPRESCI Prize.

The film which was shot on location in Connemara is also set to get a German release by MFA, showing in 27 towns across Germany.

It was co-produced by Macdara Kelleher and Morgan Bushe for Fastnet Films (Ireland) with funding from the IFB and produced through Amsterdam-based Rinkel Film & TV in cooperation with VPRO and Family Affair Films.

Nothing Personal to be released by Olive Films in the US and by MFA in Germany later this year.
