Perrier's Bounty, the fast-paced comedy thriller directed by Ian Fitzgibbon, is now exclusively available to rent on DVD. Starring Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson and Jim Broadbent, this crime caper features three fugitives on the run from gangster supremo, Perrier, who is desperate to retain his pride and cash after the accidental murder of one of his loyal gang. With only 24 hours to escape certain death, the trio must beat the clock, stay awake, and above all, pay Perrier's bounty.
Set in contemporary Dublin, Perrier's Bounty was produced by Alan Moloney, Stephen Woolley and Elizabeth Karlsen for Parallel Films and was co-financed by the IFB, Limelight Films, Premiere Picture and Optimum Releasing.
Ken Wardop's feature documentary His & Hers combines observation and charm in its exploration of women's relationships with the men in her life, following sequentially from little girls to old women across the Irish midlands as they discuss fathers and boyfriends, husbands and sons.
The enchanting film has been receiving glowing reviews since its release in cinemas nationwide in June and due to its positive Box Office performance it has been given an extended release for an additional week. Happy Ever Afters, a screwball comedy featuring two couples who are married in different churches on the same day. Maura marries Wilson, a Nigerian immigrant and Freddie marries the uptight Sophie for the second time. However, trouble begins when the two weddings collide with both receptions booked for the same hotel and the fun really starts when the immigration police arrive. Starring Sally Hawkins, Tom Riley, Jade Yourall, Ger Ryan and Simon Delaney, this slapstick comedy was produced by Lesley McKimm for Newgrange Pictures and was co-financed by the IFB, Filmstiftung NRW and Films Distributions.
Zonad, a humorous tale starring Simon Delaney as an escaped convict whose arrival in the small town of Ballymoran coincides with a rare comet sighting. As a result, the gullible local community hail him as an alien from another galaxy. Will his ruse be uncovered? Produced by Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe and John McDonnell for Element Pictures, Zonad was funded by the IFB, RTÉ, Screen Scene and Element Pictures.
