Award-Winning One Hundred Mornings Set for U.S Release from 16th September
Conor Horgan's One Hundred Mornings will have a limited theatrical release in the Down Independent Theatre in Los Angeles from Thursday 16th September following its receipt of the Workbook Project Discovery and Distribution Award.
The post-apocalyptic drama is set in a world upended by a complete breakdown of society, where two couples hide out in a cabin hoping to survive the crisis. With resources running low and external threats increase, a suspected affair is driving a wedge between them all and finally, each of them faces a critical decision they never thought they'd have to make.
As part of the award, One Hundred Mornings was given a one-week theatrical release at the state of the art theatre in Los Angeles. In addition, the winning ï¬lmmaker will receive a special P&A package consisting of PR, street team and social media support (provided by Culture Shock Marketing and WBPLabs). They will also receive 100% of the box ofï¬ce receipts, providing funding for future distribution opportunities.
"The Discovery and Distribution award is an effort to help give a boost to exciting creative works that might otherwise not be seen. We look to leverage the creative community to help get the word out and to collectively work to make a DIY discovery and distribution effort easier" says Lance Weiler, the founder of The WorkBook Project.
One Hundred Mornings was produced by Katie Holly for Blinder Films through the Catalyst Project, a low budget filmmaking scheme co-funded by the IFB, BAI, TV3, Filmbase and the Arts Council. Filmed over twenty days in County Wicklow, the film showcases the acting talents of Ciaran McMenamin (The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce), Alex Reid (The Descent) Rory Keenan (Intermission), and Kelly Campbell (Bachelors Walk).
The film will be screening in the Downtown Independent Theatre, 251 South Main St., Los Angeles, CA 90012 from Thursday September 16th.
