Five Day Shelter Selected for International Rome Film Festival

The Irish feature FIVE DAY SHELTER, written and directed by Ger Leonard has been selected for official competition in the International Rome Film Festival later this month.

Starring John Lynch (Mo, Sliding Doors), Kate Dickie (Outcast, Somers Town) and Marcella Plunkett (Swansong, The Story of Occi Byrne, Once) the film, which filmed on location in Louth, is an ensemble drama that interweaves the lives of several characters in a contemporary urban setting over five days and portrays people living untenable existences of quiet desperation.

Produced by Liam O'Neill for Paradox Pictures and Villi Ragnarsson of RedRay Films Ltd, it received funding from the Irish Film Board and Northern Ireland Screen.

The 5th International Rome Film Festival will take place October 28th - November 5th and is expected to attract over 100,000 attendees over the weeklong festival.
