Irish Documentary Scoops Prestigious IDA Award

Closing what has been a spectacular year for Irish documentary, THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED was awarded the prize for Best Feature Documentary at the International Documentary Association's award ceremony, in Los Angelus last Monday night. This documentary, which was directed by Kim Bartley and Donnacha O'Briain, shared the award with Carlos Bosch and Jose Maria Domenech's BALSEROS, the story of Cuban refugees who risked their lives in homemade rafts to reach the United States. Established in 1984, the competition is the foremost genre-specific event dedicated to the documentary film.

The Revolution will not be Televised was produced by Power Pictures and co-funded by BSÉ/IFB.
