Irish Language Service Available
In compliance with the Official Languages Act 2003, any member of the public who wishes to contact Bord Scannán na hÉireann/ Irish Film Board (IFB) in the Irish language will be able to speak to an Irish language speaker at the IFB.
This means that anyone who wishes to call or email the IFB with a query in the Irish language will be able to speak to an Irish language speaker at the agency.
If an Irish speaker is unavailable at the time of the call, the person receiving the call will explain the situation and take the caller's name, phone number and details of the query and will ensure that an Irish speaker returns the call at an agreed time.
This service also means that, should anybody who is currently in receipt of IFB Production or Development funding wish to have a meeting about any element of their project in the Irish language, the IFB will ensure that there is always a fluent Irish language speaker available for this meeting.
Irish language funding guidelines and applications are currently available for all of the IFB short films and will shortly be extended to cover all IFB funding guidelines. This service will be announced shortly.
