Award winning Irish Short Atlantic to Screen on Channel 4

Atlantic, the award winning Irish short film which has gained much international, is now set to air on Channel 4 on Friday 19th November.

Directed by Conor Ferguson (The Wednesdays), Atlantic tells the poignant tale of a lonely farmer played by Liam Cunningham (The Wind That Shakes The Barley, Perrier's Bounty) who unbeknownst to him, is due to receive a letter from the woman he once loved. A letter which could prove to be life changing, but only if he gets to read it.

The short film which is an intense and moving drama set in 1960's rural Ireland has had recent success picking up two nominations for the prestigious California Independent Film Festival, winning the Grand Prix award at Trés Court Film Festival in Paris and being officially selected for screening at the renowned Palm Springs Short Festival in the US.

It was produced by AnneMarie Naughton for Park Films (The Fading Light) and funded through the IFB's Short Shorts film scheme.
