Support Package Available for Irish Animation Professionals Attending MIFA and the Annecy International Film Festival
Are you attending the Annecy Film Festival? If so Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) and Enterprise Ireland (EI), working in partnership together, are delighted to offer you a special rate on your festival accreditation along with a number of other support services at the market.For 25 years, the MIFA market at the Annecy International Film Festival has been encouraging synergy between professionals, helping to get projects off the ground and contributing to the development and circulation of animation. With conferences, creative forums and an international trade fair, MIFA, it is Europe's foremost animation event catering to shorts, features and series. This year there will be a particular focus and tribute to animation from the US at the festival which will ensure a strong presence of the US animation production companies and financiers at the market.
Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board and Enterprise Ireland are supporting the market this year and can offer you the following support services:
- A full MIFA accreditation, which will give you access to all the seminars, networking events, festival screenings and exhibitions over a three day period at the reduced rate of €345 inc VAT
- A networking reception hosted by the IFB and Enterprise Ireland on the evening of Thursday 9th June for clients and guests. Irish producers will be encouraged to invite their key industry contacts to this event which the agencies can facilitate.
- Your company's profile and contact details in the IFB and Enterprise Ireland marketing and promotional materials designed specifically for the event
- In the run up to MIFA, EI and IFB will endeavour to connect your company with key industry professionals from overseas markets attending Annecy
- The IFB will organise a networking event with the Luxemburg Film Fund on Wednesday June 8th for producers from Ireland and Luxemburg.
To avail of this the discounted MIFA accreditation:
1. You must register with the festival before April 15th using the reference Irish Film Board / Enterprise Ireland. You can download the registration form on this page. You must be working in the Irish film and television Industry to avail of this special rate. If you are a client of EI, you can contact Eimear.O'Rourke@enterpriseireland.com and she will organise the registration for you.
