IFB Short Film 'Collaboration Horizontale' Picks Up Prize at Palm Springs
COLLABORATION HORIZONTALE, directed by Ciaran Cassidy picked up a prize at the Palm Springs International ShortFest over the weekend. It won the second prize in the Best Documentary Short category.The Palm Springs International ShortFest is the largest short film festival and market in North America. Over 330 short films screened throughout the festival along with more than 3,000 filmmaker submissions available in the film market.
Collaboration Horizontale examines an iconic image from war photographer Robert Capa taken during World War II with the film returning sixty five years on to discover the fate that befell a young girl, whose father was a German soldier.
It was produced by Morgan Bushe for Fastnet Films as part of Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the
Irish Film Board's Reality Bites scheme and premiered at last years Cork Film Festival.
