Tom Crean Documentary Film Wins in Austria

Irish documentary producers Crossing the Line Films took one of the most prestigious prizes in adventure filmmaking with their recent Irish Film Board supported project ‘TOM CREAN - ANTARTICA'S FORGOTTEN HERO'. The international version of the film picked up Best Adventure Film at the 15th International Mountain & Adventure Film festival in Graz, Austria - one of the world’s leading outdoor film festivals.

The film chronicles the extraordinary life and adventures of this humble Kerry hill farmer who ran away from home to end up playing a key role in some of the most dramatic moments of Antarctic exploration. Crean served with both Shackleton & Scott, outliving them both.
