Britspotting
Britspotting, an independent festival based in Berlin which traditionally focused on Filmmakers from the UK has now included irish films and documentary on its programme and hope to continue our programme with irish films in the future. in all, this year's programme consists of more than 30 features and documentaries, 5 short film reels and a mirrorball programme, which will be screened at three art house cinemas in berlin. film makers can win prizes for best feature film and best documentary (chosen by two juries) as well as for best short film and best animation short film (chosen by the audience). the festival programme will also feature several seminars/lectures/discussions as well as parties. it is expected that a number of directors will come to berlin to introduce their films. as a result of the festival we hope that a number of films will get a distribution deal in germany. after berlin, the programme will go on tour to leipzig (may 20-26th) and basel/switzerland (june 2-10th). you can find more information on our website www.britspotting.de, or just contact me via email if you have any further questions. below the email i attached a list of all the irish short films we have selected to be shown in our irish and our animation programme or on the supporting bill.
