Irish Production Update
Katie has prepared a paper which lists projects .Obviously Valhalla will start production in May starring Robert Carlyle co-financiers are NIFTC,BBC Films TV 3 and the film will be sold internationally by The Works. Films in the co-financing stage include Boy Eats Girl starring Samantha Mumba with finance from UK distributor Optimum releasing and Odyssey as sales agent.Short Order with Victoria Abril John Hurt and Emma Des Caunes co funders include Hamburg Film Fund. Interesting feature docs in production include American High Setanta Television by Liam McGrath (Southpaw) with backing from Arte, Last of the Independents by Ian Thuiller a feature length doc about Rory Gallagher co funders include RTE,Network and BMG ,produced by Donal Gallagher Rorys brother.
The Honeymooners is a Paramount feature that David T Friendly is producing, with Hells Kitchen co-producing. It is slated to shoot in May/June 2004. Friendly produced Laws of Attraction.
