More Award Nominations for MAGDALENE SISTERS and BLOODY SUNDAY
The nominations for the European Film Awards have just been announced and the Irish film industry is well represented. Both Bloody Sunday and The Magdalene Sisters have been nominated in the Best European Film category.
Other nominees in this category include Pedro Almodovar's Talk To Her, Bend it Like Beckham, which was directed by Gurinder Chadha and Roman Polanski's The Pianist.
In addition, Paul Greengrass has been nominated for Best Screenwriter and Ivan Strasburg for Best Cinematographer for Bloody Sunday.
