Cormac Fox and Sarajevo Calling selected for ACE training programme

Cormac Fox of Vico Films has been selected for the prestigious ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen) training programme with his project Sarajevo Calling, written by Jonathan Ellen. Cormac is one of sixteen producers from across eleven European countries who have been selected for the programme, which will run from October 2013 to December 2014.

Set against the flames of war, Sarajevo Calling is the harrowing yet darkly comic true story of Bosnia's first entry in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Commenting on his selection, Cormac said, "Participation in a programme as prestigious as ACE is not just a fantastic opportunity for me as a producer but also a significant step in the realisation of Sarajevo Calling, a story that is a true testament to the triumph of the human spirit in the darkest of days."

Cormac Fox produced the Bord Scannán na hÉireann/Irish Film Board-supported King of the Travellers and is currently working on The Wanted Man, directed by Rory Bresnihan, which is also funded by the IFB.
