SHORT SHORTS AND FRAMEWORKS TO PREMIERE AT THE GALWAY FILM FLEADH

The premiere of this years FRAMEWORKS and SHORT SHORTS will take place during the Galway Film Fleadh this Saturday in the Town Hall theatre at 2pm.

This years much anticipated shorts range from animated and dramatic comedy pieces to imaginative experimental film.

The BSÉ/IFB Short Shorts film scheme, now in its 4th year, has produced a host of multi-award winning shorts which includes the Academy Award® nominated FIFTY PERCENT GREY. This year Kieron J Walsh, Peter Sheridan and Stephen Burke are just some of the prominent directors attached to the scheme. The scheme enables the production of 3-minute short films which play before mainstream theatrical releases and showcase the talents of the Irish film industry to wider audiences.

This years FRAMEWORKS films showcase a selection of the talent working in the Irish animation industry. The multi-award winning director Rory Bresnihan's latest short GOD'S EARLY WORK will be screening tomorrow, along with Gary Blatchford's THE POPE'S VISIT, Joel Simpson's THE HUGO MELLON SHOW, and Jason Tammemagi's DUBLIN 1.
