New Staff Appointment at Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board

Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB), the development agency for the Irish film and television industry is delighted to announce the appointment of Oisín O'Neill, who will join the agency's Business Affairs team in the senior position of Legal & Business Executive.  

Oisín is a qualified Barrister who previously practised at the Irish Bar before joining Ryanair as their in-house Media and Intellectual Property lawyer. Oisín brings with him a wealth of experience having dealt with high-value commercial litigation and a variety of media law projects.

Commenting on the appointment Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, Deputy Chief Executive, Teresa McGrane said "We are delighted to welcome someone with Oisín's experience and skills to the team at Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board. We look forward to introducing him to the industry at the upcoming Galway Film Fleadh next month."

Oisín O'Neill added "As someone who is passionate about film and television, I am thrilled to be joining Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board at this exciting time for the Irish audio-visual industry. I am looking forward to applying my previous experience to continue and build upon the agency's trend of success."

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Teresa McGrane, the Legal & Business Executive at the IFB will be responsible for a substantial amount of the IFB's contracting requirements across all projects and expenditure initiatives and will be the key point contact for companies contracting with the IFB.

Oisín O'Neil will take up his position from July 7th.
