Michael Moore Loves Irish Film "The Stag"
Film director Michael Moore has praised Irish movie “The Stag” as “one of those films where you’re literally laughing every minute.”
Talking about his top picks for the 2014 Traverse City Film Festival, Moore praised the film, released in the US as “The Bachelor Weekend”, noting “who can do humour better than the Irish?”
Released in Ireland on 7 March 2014, The Stag proved to be a huge success with critics and audiences. The film has received an 81% score from critics on RottenTomatoes.com and was a financial hit at the Irish box office. The film stars Hugh O’Connor, Amy Huberman, Andrew Scott and Brian Gleeson in a story of six men heading off into the Irish wilderness for one last wild weekend. Of course, nothing goes to plan.
Following its successful run in cinemas, The Stag is available to purchase now on home media on Blu-Ray and DVD, and can also be downloaded from iTunes.
