When East Meets West is looking for your projects in development
The When East Meets West co-production forum is seeking projects in development for its 2015 edition.
When East Meets West is designed to bring together decision makers, financiers with 20 selected producers with a project in development. While these usually come from Eastern Europe and Italy, the 2015 edition will include Ireland, the United Kingdom and North America.
The programme includes a public pitching, a series of one-to-one meetings and open discussions on the financial and distribution conditions in the spotlight region.
Eligible projects in development can include feature films for theatrical release or TV documentaries in development stage suitable for international co-production. Projects from Ireland, UK and North America will preferably have a connection either with Italy or Eastern Europe. In turn, projects from Eastern Europe and Italy will preferably have a connection with each other or the English-speaking territories.
Submissions must include the following:
- complete application form in word format - you can download it at www.wemw.it
- approx. 5 – 8 page treatment / exposé in English
- total budget and financing plan
- including visual material (teaser of the project or clips of previous works of the director) is highly recommended

Selections will be announced by early December. All selected projects/producers will be eligible for the WEMW Development Award, the EAVE scholarship and the brand new EGG Digital Cinema Award.
