OMAGH scoops Discovery Award at the Toronto International Film Festival
Omagh scoops Discovery Award at the Toronto International Film FestivalBord Scannán na hEireann/the Irish Film Board (BSE/IFB) co-financed feature OMAGH, the powerful story of the 1998 Omagh Bombing, directed by Peter Travis has won the prestigious Discovery Award at this years Toronto International Film Festival.
This award decided by over 700 international film critics offers a unique window on contemporary international cinema and introduces the public to gifted and innovative new directors. A previous winner of this esteemed award was Peter Mullen’s THE MAGDALENE SISTERS which scooped the prize in 2002.

OMAGH was produced by Ed Guiney and Paul Greengrass, executive produced by Andrew Lowe, Arthur Lappin and Greg Brenman and co-financed by the UK's Channel Four, Irish national broadcaster RTE and BSÉ/IFB.
