BSE/IFB Information Session at the Cork Film Festival

An information session on the programs and initiatives available from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/The Irish Film Board has been organised to take place at the Cork Film Festival this week. The role of BSÉ/ IFB is to provide loans and equity investment to independent Irish film-makers to assist in the development and production of Irish films and also to assist in the marketing and promotion of the indigenous industry.

Brendan McCarthy, Head of Production and Development, Noemi Ferrer, Deputy Head of Production Investment, Jill McGregor, Applications & Schemes Co-ordinator, Katie Lowry, Production & Development Co-ordinator and Louise Ryan, Information Co-ordinator will be available on a panel to discuss the role of BSE / IFB.

The panel will include discussions on topics such as development loans, short schemes, low & micro-budget schemes, the upcoming fund for arts based documentaries called ‘Documenting the Arts’ (co-funded with the Arts Council), The Regional Support Fund and also the marketing initiatives that the board undertakes to promote the indigenous industry.
