BBC3 PICKS UP DEAD BODIES AT MIPCOM

BSE/IFB low budget movie DEAD BODIES will air on BBC3 in the UK, after the channel acquired Robert Quinn's stylistic thriller at MIPCOM in September.

The drama, which won the Audience Award at the Cinénygma Luxembourg International Film Festival earlier this year, features Andrew Scott as Tommy whose laidback lifestyle is abruptly changed by the return of his high maintenance, anti-everything, ex-girlfriend Jean. When, during one of their frequent 'domestics', she slips and is fatally injured, he confronts a dilemma far greater than he ever imagined.

Sold by London-based High Point Films and TV, DEAD BODIES was released theatrically in Ireland last year by Buena Vista and has already been picked up in major territories including Germany, Italy and the US

Scripted by Derek Landy, DEAD BODIES was produced by Distinguished Features, and also stars Sean McGinley, Kelly Reilly and Gerard McSorley. It was funded by BSÉ/IFB as part of the Low Budget Initiative.
