Storyland Projects 'CTRL' and 'Farr' are Nominated for IAWTV Awards

CTRL and Farr, two dramas produced under the Storyland project, have been nominated for IAWTV Awards. The IAWTV (International Academy of Web Television) Awards celebrate the best in digital entertainment. The Storyland project was funded by RTÉ and Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board.

CTRL has been nominated for Best Dramatic Series at this year’s awards. It was directed by Brian Deane and written by Matthew Roche, and follows a brilliant young hacker who must prove himself to an elite hacktivist group in order to gain their trust and help secure his freedom. It was produced by John Wallace and Emmet Fleming for Black Sheep Productions.

Meanwhile Shaun Blaney has been nominated for his performance in the drama Farr. Directed and written by Aidan Largey, the Belfast-set drama follows a young police officer who when investigating the city’s most dangerous crime family, is conflicted when the investigation may mean destroying his own career. Farr was produced by Margaret McGoldrick for Stirling Film and Television Productions.

The IAWTV Awards will take place in Las Vegas on April 15. Previous award winners include Julia Stiles, Bill Maher and Xander Berkeley. See the full list of nominees here.
