Irish Dramas, Documentaries and Comedies are Now Available with UPC My Prime

A diverse range of Irish films are available to view as part of My Prime, a new service from UPC. Through an agreement with Element Pictures Distribution, films funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board are included as part of the service, including award-winning dramas, comedies and documentaries.

The selection includes critically acclaimed films including Pilgrim Hill directed by Gerard Barrett, who has also directed the upcoming film Glassland starring Jack Reynor; Five Minutes of Heaven starring Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt; and This Must Be the Place starring Sean Penn. The first three films from acclaimed director Lenny Abrahamson, Adam and Paul, Garage and What Richard Did are also available to view as part of the service.

Meanwhile documentaries available to view include The Yellow Bittern: The Life and Times of Liam Clancy ; John Ford: Dreaming the Quiet Man which has recently been released on DVD, Blu Ray and VOD in the United States; and Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God, which was the winner of the Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking prize at the 2013 Emmy Awards.

Irish comedies available as part of the service include A Film With Me in It starring Mark Doherty and Dylan Moran; Zonad from Once director John Carney; and The Guard starring Brendan Gleeson, which broke box office records in 2011.
