iTunes Chart Success for Irish/Scottish Horror Let Us Prey, In Cinemas June 12th

Irish/Scottish horror film Let Us Prey has shot up the iTunes horror charts to second position following its release in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday. This comes ahead of the film’s Irish and UK cinema release on June 12th.

Let Us Prey is the feature directorial debut of Brian O’Malley and stars Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones) and Pollyanna McIntosh (Love Eternal).

The film tells the story of an enigmatic stranger (Cunningham) who is detained in the cells of a remote police station one fateful night. As the stranger begins to take over the minds and souls of his fellow inmates and those of the police officers, he influences them to bend to his evil will and encourages their latent inner demons to explode in a crazed night of blood-spilling and mayhem. Only rookie cop Rachel (McIntosh) seems to be able to resist his influence...

Let Us Prey has won numerous awards since its premiere, including the Audience Award at the Festival de Cine de Terror de Molins de Rei in Barcelona, Spain, the highly-sought Le Méliès d'Argent for Best European Fantastic Film at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award for Best Music at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival.

Let Us Prey was produced by Brendan McCarthy and John McDonnell of Fantastic Films (Last Days on Mars) and Eddie Dick of Makar Productions (Outcast). It was financed by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, Creative Scotland, Greenhouse Media Investment and Queen Esther Productions.
