'Let Us Prey' Starring Liam Cunningham is Released in Cinemas Friday, June 12th

Irish-Scottish horror film Let Us Prey will be released in Irish cinemas this Friday, June 12th. The film is the feature debut of Brian O’Malley and stars Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones, Hunger) and Pollyanna McIntosh (Filth, Love Eternal).

The film stars Cunningham as an enigmatic stranger who’s detained overnight in a small town police station, where his dark influence takes over the minds of the inmates and officers around him, resulting in a night of blood-spilling and mayhem.

Let Us Prey has been greeted with strong reviews since its debut at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in April 2014. Edge New York commented that "U.S. horror filmmakers should take notes from this Irish film that drips with dread and atmosphere." The Irish Post noted that it was “Definitely one for horror aficionados” and said of O’Malley’s direction “this is an impressive first feature and suggests there’s more to emerge of O’Malley’s cinematic talent.” ImpactNottingham.com described Let Us Prey as “a taut, beautifully shot horror-thriller” and said that “O’Malley’s first feature closes as a resounding success.”

Let Us Prey was funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, Creative Scotland, Greenhouse Media Investment and Queen Esther Productions. It was produced by Brendan McCarthy and John McDonnell of Fantastic Films (Last Days on Mars) and Eddie Dick of Makar Productions (Outcast).
