Acclaimed character actor John C. Reilly, who stars in the upcoming Irish film The Lobster, will be the subject of the Public Interview at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh. The interview will take place on Sunday, 12th July at 3pm.

John C. Reilly made his debut in 1989’s Casualties of War and has since become one of cinema’s most highly-sought dramatic and comedic actors. His vast body of work includes Hard Eight, Boogie Nights and Magnolia with Paul Thomas Anderson, Terence Malick’s The Thin Red Line, Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York and The Aviator and Rob Marshall’s Chicago, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Supporting Actor in 2003. His talents can also be enjoyed in comedies (Walk Hard, Step Brothers), animated features (Wreck It Ralph) and comic-book blockbusters (Guardians of the Galaxy).

He will soon be seen in Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Lobster, which won the Jury Prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The Lobster, which was supported by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, filmed in Co. Kerry and will be released on October 16th. Reilly co-stars in The Lobster alongside Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz and Ben Whishaw.
