Multi Award-Winning Irish Animated Short ‘Coda’ is Now Available to Watch Online
Coda, an Irish animated short film funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, RTÉ and the Arts Council, is now available to view online here.
Earlier this year, Coda was shortlisted for an Academy Award® nomination. Directed by Alan Holly, Coda is the culmination of two years of hard work by a small team of dedicated animation artists. The film tells the story of a lost soul who stumbles drunkenly through the city. In a park, death finds him and shows him many things.
The nine-minute, hand-drawn animation features the voices of Brian Gleeson (Standby, The Stag) and Orla Fitzgerald (The Wind that Shakes the Barley, The Guarantee). It has had success on the international festival circuit, winning awards including the Best Animated Short Film award at SXSW as well as the Most Creative Short award at last year’s Edinburgh Short Film Festival.
Coda was produced by Ciaran Deeney for Dublin-based animation studio And Maps and Plans. The music for Coda was composed by Shane Holly.
