Applications are Now Open for CineMart International Co-Production and Financing Market
CineMart, the international co-production platform of International Film Festival Rotterdam, is seeking entries for its 33rd International Co-Production and Financing Market, to be held from January 31st to February 3rd 2016 as part of the Rotterdam Film Festival. The deadline for submission is September 1st.
CineMart offers filmmakers the opportunity to launch their ideas to the international film industry and to find the right connections to get their projects financed. CineMart offers a carefully curated selection of 25 feature film projects with market potential, and offers filmmakers the opportunity to meet a selection of some 700 CineMart delegates and enjoy informal networking events.
Submitted projects are expected to have a director attached and are already well developed. A script and financing strategy should also be in place, and preferably a certain amount of financing.
Awards at the event include the Eurimages Co-production Development Award of €20,000, the Arte International Prize of €7,000 and the Wouter Barendrecht Award of €5,000.
A previous CineMart title supported by the IFB, The Lobster, premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Jury Prize.
