Irish Crime Thriller ‘Pursuit’ is Released in Cinemas this Friday, September 18th

Pursuit, a new Irish crime thriller written and directed by Paul Mercier (Studs) will be released in cinemas across Ireland this Friday, September 18th.

A thriller inspired by Irish folk legend, Pursuit is a tale of love, betrayal and revenge, and the pursuit of a life beyond crime. The ensemble cast of Irish actors includes Ruth Bradley (Love/Hate), Barry Ward (Jimmy’s Hall), Liam Cunningham (Let Us Prey), Brendan Gleeson (The Guard), Owen Roe (Intermission), David Pearse (Grabbers), Don Wycherley (Bachelor’s Walk) Dara Devaney (An Bronntanas), Dónall Ó Héalaí (Traders), Ciarán O’Brien (Ripper Street) and Emmet Kirwan (’71).

Pursuit enjoyed a special screening last Wednesday (September 9th) with President Michael D. Higgins in attendance. The film will open in IMC Cinemas across Ireland on Friday in the following locations: Athlone, Ballina, Ballymena, Carlow, Clonmel, Dundalk, Dún Laoghaire, Enniskillen, Galway, Kilkenny, Mullingar, Oranmore, Santry, Savoy Cinema and Screen Cinema (Dublin City Centre), Tallaght, Thurles and Tullamore.

The film was produced by Anne Gately for An Pointe Productions and was financed by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, the BAI, Telegael Teoranta and TV3.
